We ensure that we handhold the most vulnerable but empower others to make ongoing energy decisions, that will provide better health and economic outcomes for residents of Warwickshire.

Warm and well in Warwickshire The Partnership The Warm & Well In Warwickshire Partnership Network began in 2010 as a countywide AffordableWarmth Steering Group (AWSG) with the aim of promoting improvements in energy efficiency of homes across the county, to help reduce fuel poverty and excess winter deaths.

Warm and well in Warwickshire Advice & Training Single point of contact through our Freephone number 0800 988 2881 The Warm & Well helpline has received over 4544 calls since April 2012 – August 2015 588 of these households have been referred for home improvements; these include loft, cavity and solid wall insulation, boiler and heating replacements. Advice given on reducing energy bills, fuel debt, improving energy efficiency, energy switching, grants/subsidies and staying warm over the winter months. In addition households are also referred to other agencies to offer a full and rounded service. Training has been provided to 184 front line staff. Training is available this year for frontline staff please let us know if you are interested.

8. Warm and well in Warwickshire Benefit Uptake To develop a targeted benefits maximisation programme for vulnerable households across each Council. This involved 520 letters per Council sent to clients identified by the Local Authority as being in fuel poverty. Each letter contained information about the project; WWRAS, a Freepost envelope and reply slip so clients could request a benefit check.

10. Emergency Heating Scheme Online System - Run by Warwickshire Integrated Community Equipment Service Referral agencies have individual logins eg. NBBC, AoE Can order, heater, warm pack and carbon monoxide alarm

Warm and well in Warwickshire Boiler Servicing and Small Repairs 2012 - 14 (up to £300 ) Available across Warwickshire delivered via Local Authority Eligibility –Following benefits – income support, income based employment and support allowance, income based JSA, Guarantee Pension Credit, Housing Benefit, Working Tax Credit and/or Child Tax credit (income less than £15,050) OR –Household income of 16k for single person household or 20k for 2 person households

12. Warm and well in Warwickshire Chimney Sweep Project Chimney Fires 70+ in Warwickshire. Most fires in rural areas in homes of 60+ Delivered through Age UK Referrals provided by Fire Service through their Home Fire Safety Checks Letters sent to clients identified and offered a free sweep. Included in sweep - carbon monoxide monitors and onward referrals if appropriate

14. Warm and well in Warwickshire Delivering Services at the Door Outcomes Continued…. North Warwickshire – Target area of 650 homes, 161 referrals completed and packs left with every property. Referrals: 72 referrals for Home Fire Safety Checks 71 referrals for energy advice and energy efficiency measures 34 requests for information on home and personal safety 20 referrals for benefits checks 12 referrals for help with CV’s and getting back to work programmes 44 referrals to Age UK for their services

15. Warm and well in Warwickshire Rural Communities Advice session have been held in rural communities including the use of the mobile library service to access communities. This included:  17 rural routes across the county  668 people were given advice and  support with a focus on energy efficiency. Home visits across rural communities giving advice/support and onward referrals to some the most vulnerable members of our community

Based on the total funding received from Public Health for the Warm & Well In Warwickshire Project 2012/13 of £110,503, the project has achieved 19.301 QALY’s at a cost of £5725.24 per QALY.
