Florida Double ANVIL Triathlon Macro Overview This picture shows the general area of the course and restaurants/shopping areas that are 4.5 to 6 miles away from the front entrance.

Florida Double ANVIL Triathlon Course Overview #1 Entrance to Lake Louisa State Park off U.S. Highway 27. #2 Ranger Check-In Station. #3 Transition Area utilizing a parking lot. #4 Swim section. #5 Bike section turn-around before you get to the RV Campground. #6 Run section turn-around.

Florida Double ANVIL Triathlon Parking Lot Overview Enter parking lot following the yellow line and go thru shelters, taking a sharp left at the end and looping back out. Only shelters will be set up in “our” section. The Regular Public portion is for the general public to park in. Our athletes get to park ONE car only at either end of the parking lot. If athletes have more than one vehicle, and our volunteers and staff will park in the overflow lot (1). Entry to Parking Lot Regular Public Shelters Set Up

Florida Double ANVIL Triathlon Transition Area Only shelters will be set up in the Shelter Set Up area. Athletes are allowed to park one vehicle only on the ends (two sections on each end). The Regular Public parking area is for use of the general public using the park. Extra racer vehicles, staff and volunteers will park in the overflow lot, which is 200 paces away. Regular Public Shelters Set Up Athlete Parking Timing Area

Florida Double ANVIL Triathlon Swim Section Swim section is an inverted triangle, each length being 1,056 feet/321.8 meters for a total of 3,168 feet/965.6 meters, which equates to 8 laps around. The point closest to shore is about 5 feet/1.5 meters of water. Water depth across the lake is about 6-7 feet/ meters deep. We will have two rafts capable of holding water bottles/other aid for the swimmers, allowing most support crews to stay on shore. Timers will sit in a skiff to time the athletes. There is a bathhouse as you exit the beach to change out, then head to the parking lot/transition area for the rest of the race.

Florida Double ANVIL Triathlon Bike Section Once you are on the bike, you will ride approximately 3 miles/4.8 kilometers to the bike turn near the RV Campground, which is where the trash dumpster is, this section will allow for a wider turn area versus doing a U-turn on the two lane road; and ride back to the transition area. 37 laps are required to complete 222 miles/357 kilometers, the remaining mileage to make 224 miles/360 kilometers will be made up at the start of the race.

Florida Double ANVIL Triathlon Run Section The run consists of a mile/3.242 kilometer out and back, you will do this 26 times to complete 52.4 miles/84 kilometers. Transition Area Run Start Run Turn Around
