What’s My Rule? Each person in the United States uses about 50 gallons of water per day. Use this information to complete the “What’s My Rule?” table. In (Days) Out (Gallons) ,500 18,250 x 50

Function Machine How does it work? A number (the input) is dropped into the machine. The machine changes the number according to the rule. A new rules (the output) comes out the other end.

InOut Practice: What’s My Rule? Subtract 15

InOut Practice: What’s My Rule? Add 100

InOut Practice: What’s My Rule? ,200 Multiply 7

InOut Practice: What’s My Rule? Divide by 6

PoundsCost 1$ $ Practice: What’s My Rule? $7.50 $41.25 A pound of nuts costs $3.75

Shoulder Partner Work Work with your shoulder partner to complete pg. 53 in your Student Math Journal. – You may need to use a page in your notebook to work out some of these problems. – Make sure you and your partner are discussing the process as well as the answers.
