5 Forests and wetlands, which have been preserved in Estonia represent a part of original European natural environment, which have become destroyed elsewhere. A lot of our guests are astonished by Estonia’s diverse nature. There are more than 7000 rivers and creeks in Estonia. Different forests cover almost half of Estonia’s territory. ESTONIAN NATURE

6 STATISTCS In ,47 mln tourists stayed at accommodation establishments in Estonia, this accounts for the total of 2,9 mln overnights. In 2006 the number of tourists staying at accommodation establishments rose to 2,25 mln, overnights to 4,5 mln. 27% of the overnights stayed at the accommodation establishments have been in Estonia’s Spas.

7 ESTONIAN TOURISM IN NUMBERS The export of Estonian tourism services has increased every year. In 2003 it accounted for 12bln Estonian kroons, In bln kroons.

It is remarkable that the percentage of Estonians’ overnights at accommodation establishments has rapidly increased. An important role played by the increase in attendance of spas. The percentage of Estonians in Spas 2007

12 According to 2006 data, 52% of the spa clients come from Finland, 27% are the domestic clients, 7% come from Sweden, 3% from Russia and 3% from Norway. Tourists from other countries form 8%. ESTONIAN SPA ASSOCIATION Finns and Estonians form approximately 80% of the clients of Estonian SPA Association’s spas.

13 According to the data of 2007, more than 30% of spa clients are over 65 years of age. Clients at the ages of constitute a large majority. ESTONIAN SPA ASSOCIATION
