CPWG – Capacity Building

What is Pedagogy? Pedagogy is the art and science of how something is taught, the method behind the learning. Pedagogy includes how the teaching occurs, the approach to the teaching and learning, the way the content is delivered and what the students learn as a result of a process…

CPWG Pedagogy – Our Principles The learning environment is supportive and productive We promote independence, interdependence and self-motivation CPiE practitioners have their needs, backgrounds, perspectives and interests reflected in the learning CPiE practitioners are challenged and supported to develop deep levels of thinking and application Learning connects strongly with communities and practice beyond the training

CPWG Pedagogy – Our Approach -Ensuring high quality and consistent training materials are available to CPiE Practitioners -Varied forms of delivery -Ensuring access to key resource people and trainers that are able to deliver, adapt and contextualise materials -Consideration given to the varied ways the resources and tools may be used and delivered – flexibility -Learning and development vision with needs assessments and strategies guiding the training plans -Monitoring and evaluation – the development of M & E tools to adequately assess our results -Encompassing adult learning principles, mindful of culture and with an aim for translation into various languages…
