IAEA Regional Nubian Aquifer Overview of Nubian Aquifer System (NSAS) region and location in Africa.

IAEA Nubian Sandstone Aquifer Project Overview Project started in July Water Resources considered to be non-renewable Countries (Chad, Egypt, Libya and Sudan) cooperating over the past 4 decades Expressed interest in regional cooperation Challenge acquire-sufficient knowledge about existing resources within the Nubian Aquifer IFAD and CEDARE conducted concluded socio-economic survey resulting in the Regional Information System (NARIS).

IAEA Key Outputs and Facts Final National legal framework document Regional Legal Report with SWOT analysis of Statutes Joint Authority established 1989 is now the agreed authority for implementation of the SAP. The Shared Aquifer Diagnostic Analysis (SADA) scientific basis for development of 3D model 3D groundwater flow model is the established tool SAP implementation: Address Ecosystem challenges, Capacity building, Address Legal issues raised in the SWOT.
