5. IAEA Why TC? Promotion of nuclear science and technology in a safe way Through various applications (health, food, water, etc) Without IAEA standards (IBSS) on safety met, transfer of technology is difficult and sometimes impossible 5

IAEA Outputs Enhanced capacity for conducting national self-assessment on a regular basis for continuous improvement of regulatory performance Action plan for improvement, and for further development of regulatory infrastructure and processes, developed and implemented Human networking of regulatory bodies through FNRBA, including its thematic working groups, improved and strengthened Operational web platform for knowledge and experience exchange for regulators in place and used regularly 6
