What is a serger? Machine that joins 2 layers of fabric to: – Form a seam – Trim away extra SA – Finish the fabric edge Provides a ready-to-wear finish to a home sewn garment Supplement to the Sewing Machine

Functions Can’t do buttonholes, zippers, or embroidery Loopers form stitch by looping thread around needle thread – NO BOBBIN
