WHERE IS IT? Yosemite National Park is located in California

Known for  Yosemite National Park is known for it’s granite cliffs and waterfalls, streams and giant sequoia trees,  The park has more then 400 species of animals.

Waterfalls  North Americas tallest waterfall is located in the park and is 2,425 foot tall.

Mountains  The half dome is very famous and it is 8,842 foot tall.

Humans  The Paiute and Sierra Miwok lived in Yosemite nearly 3,000 years.

National park  Yosemite became a national park in 1864.

Junior Ranger Program  The Junior Ranger Program started in Yosemite in 1930 it was a one week program for kids,  Today they offer a Junior Ranger Book.

Ranger programs  There is a Junior Ranger Walk on Saturdays and Sundays at 10 am.  There is a evening program at 8 pm.
