Situated to the west of Birmingham, Wolverhampton is one of the 4 local authorities in the Black Country sub-region Documented history dating back to 985AD Amongst the most densely populated local authority areas in England 239,354 people living in its 26.8 square miles (ONS 2010) – but only 6 miles across It is estimated that over a quarter of the city’s population are ethnic minorities (28% 2009 ONS) Wolverhampton?
