My Experiment By AB

Aim Our aim was to make a battery that could light a light bulb or power something

Apparatus I needed… Ten two-pence pieces (we used 1-pence pieces) Ten two-pence pieces (we used 1-pence pieces) Metal kitchen foil Metal kitchen foil Blotting paper Blotting paper Two pieces of copper wire Two pieces of copper wire Malt vinegar Malt vinegar Salt Salt Bowl Bowl LED LED Masking tape Masking tape

Method Step 1. mix vinegar and a little salt and cut blotting paper and the foil into circles Step 2. Soak your pieces of blotting paper in the vinegar Step 3. Attach masking tape to the wires and then put 1 of the wires on to a piece of foil then paper then coin and so on Step 4.When you have a stack attach a wire to the last coin with tape then attach both wires to something you want to power.

Results The results were that the 1-pence pieces didn’t give enough power but we did get 6 volts of power. The results were that the 1-pence pieces didn’t give enough power but we did get 6 volts of power.

Conclusion We did achieve the aim but we couldn’t get the LED alight but it was still fun doing it! We did achieve the aim but we couldn’t get the LED alight but it was still fun doing it!
