The Underground Railroad By: Stacey Hines

Moses She’s Harriet Tubman, former slave. Led by “visions,” she has never lost a slave. Find a place called Delaware, houses with lanterns are safe.

What was the Underground Railroad? The underground railroad was a way to freedom for slaves.

How it worked Slaves once escaped would gather to wait for their guide to freedom. It’s a variety of tunnels and paths fallowing the north star. Usually once the north had been reached there were safe house to go to.

Canada Canada was only places slaves could escape to and be safe Canada didn’t extradite slaves To many Canada was the only hope
