Harriet Tubman was a very important person. She had a difficult childhood. She is famous because she led thousands of people to freedom from the Under Ground Railroad.

3. What was her childhood like
Harriet Tubman’s childhood was difficult because she was a slave. When she was five years old she worked as a babysitter. When she was six she learned to weave and make clothes for people. When she was a young teen she worked in the crops.

4. What was it like a slave
Being a slave was difficult because you did all the work. When she was thirteen she was very independent and that got in a whole bunch of trouble. If she didn’t listen to her owner she would have gotten beat or whipped.

5. Why is she famous
Harriet Tubman is famous because she led millions of people to freedom from the Underground Railroad. Harriet Tubman is famous because she took care of soldiers that were hurt. Harriet Tubman is famous because she became a spy. The Underground Railroad is a safe place where the slaves hide and that were the slaves traveled.

Harriet Tubman was a hero. She is a hero because she led millions of people to freedom from the Under Ground Railroad. She is a hero because she helped sick and elderly people. We should be happy Harriet Tubman saved all of those slaves.
