The Tales of Beedle the Bard Book By: J.K. Rowling Translated from the original runes by: Hermione Granger Presentation By: MJ

Introduction The Tales of Beedle the Bard contains five richly diverse fairy tales, each with its own magical character, that will variously bring delight, laughter and thrill of mortal peril. Additional notes for each story penned by Professor Albus Dumbledore will be enjoyed by Muggles and wizards alike, as the Professor muses on the morals illuminated by the tales, and reveals snippets of information about life at Hogwarts. A uniquely magical volume, with illustrations by the author, J.K. Rowling, that will be treasured for years to come.

The Wizard and the Hopping Pot A wizard decides that his son should take care of his neighborhood by cooking up some potion to cure all the sicknesses, the clean ups and stuff like that. But he didn’t realize that when he was dying, his son didn’t want to take his job. He didn’t want to be a wizard. He was just a lazy person. One day, his son, kept on getting knocks on the door, all of the people that knocked, needed the special soup. He turned them all down, suddenly, the pot started to get all the problems the people had. What will his son do?

The Fountain of Fair Fortune There once was a garden, on the top of a hill, enclosed by a tall, strong, magical gate, in the garden there was a fountain, a Fountain of Fair Fortune. Each year, there was only one person that was allowed to bathe in the fountain. Then from that day forward, they will get what the wished for. One of those years, there were three witches. The first, Asha, was sick of a madly uncurable sickness. She hoped that the fountain would cure her. The second, Altheda, had been robbed, an evil sorcerer stole her wand and her gold. She hoped that the fountain might relieve her. The third, Amata,

The Warlock’s Hairy Heart What they mean by “Hairy Heart” is basically a self centered person or a person who doesn’t have any feelings. In this case, it is that the Warlock is a feeling less person. There once was a handsome, rich and talented young warlock, that noticed that his friends were acting foolish while falling in love. He didn’t feel love. He didn’t feel pain. He didn’t feel anything. One day, he comes across a beautiful woman. He wishes to marry her. But he doesn’t have any feelings for her. Soon came the day that the warlock and the woman had a gathering. Moments later, both of them went down to the basement. An hour passed and the guests grew worried so they went down to the basement. They saw something they could not believe…

Babbitty Rabbitty and her Crackling Stump There once lived a foolish king who demanded everything. One day, he demanded to his soldiers that all of the witches and wizards, he decided he wanted to have magic powers too. A few days later, a young charlatan decided he will tell the king he had magic powers. When he arrived, the king told him, “ Show me what you have got” The charlatan did nothing. “ Well then, show me” The charlatan stood still. Finally, the charlatan spoke, “ I don’t have my wand with me, I shall teach you magic starting tomorrow.” “Very well then” said the king. When the charlatan was walking home, he came across the kings maid, Babbitty. He peeked into her window. She was doing magic! He burst in, “You shall show me magic or I will turn you in!”

The Tale of Three Brothers There once were three brothers who were traveling along a lonely, winding road at twilight. Soon, the brothers came across a river too deep to swim across. However, these brothers learned the magic arts. They built a bridge with their wands. They were half way across it when suddenly, Death appeared. He was angry that the three brothers used magic to prevent from death. For travelers usually drowned in the river. The oldest brother, asked for a wand more powerful than any other. That wand must always win fights for its owner. The second brother, asks Death to give him something that made people come back from the dead. The third brother, wise enough asked for something he didn’t need. He didn’t trust Death, Death gave him his cloak of invisibility…
