Escape From Mr. Lemoncello’s Library Characters By: Mira Sripada

Kyle Keeley Kyle is very helpful and nice. He will help other competitors even though he is against them. He is also very competitive. He will do anything to win a game. Towards the beginning of the book he was playing a game with his brothers, while he was playing the instructions told him he needed to go to the basement. But his brother Mike was already headed there. In the interest of winning the game Kyle decided to break the window from the outside and crawl in. He did end up winning the game but he unfortunately got grounded.

Akimi Hughes Akimi is nice and helpful as well, she is Kyle’s best friend and helper during the game. During the story I thought that she did a good job of keeping the group moving until they finish. She will ask different types of questions and is not afraid to speak up. The reason why I thought she kept the group moving is that she will say questions like “what does that mean?” and I think that really gets everybody thinking about what the clues mean.

Sierra Russel Sierra is shy but very smart. She is a big reader. During the story her reading skills really helped there team win. At the very beginning of the story everybody at her school was assigned to make an essay about what they were exited for at the new library. She did the assignment not knowing that she would be one of the 12 kids chosen for playing the game. Being so smart and good at all subjects her essay was really good so she was chosen. I think she really didn’t care about playing the game, but was more interested in reading the books in the new library. When all the instructions were given for the game she didn’t really listen because she was so focused on her book. But Kyle’s team needed her help to win the game so eventually she got more interested in playing.

Miguel Fernandez Miguel is very smart and helpful. He wasn’t always part of Kyle’s group. The reason he joined Kyle’s group was that Kyle asked him to join and he eventually said yes. He is also Kyle’s best friend. During the story he is helpful but I don’t think he had a personality that you could describe very well because he didn’t’ talk that much.

Charles Chiltington Charles is extremely mean and rude. He does not care about anything except winning. He even started tricking people into joining his team just to win a game. He tricked Haley Daley and Andrew Peckelman into joining his team so he could collect there information about the clues. He thought that both of them were too dumb to even play the game. Soon he found out that he was wrong and Haley was very smart and good at figuring out what clues mean. He also found out how resourceful Andrew can be because he can tell Charles where every book is in the library.

Andrew Peckelman Andrew is smart and knew everything about the library and that’s why he was asked to join Charles team. But he was tricked and didn’t know that Charles was just using him. During the story he was in a situation where he was forced to do something for Charles. He was forced to steal Sierra’s library card in order to collect clues for Charles. I feel like Andrew could of won the game because he knew where you could find all the books in the library. But that knowledge was wasted because he joined Charles’s team.

The End Thanks for Listening!!!
