L OCATION Temple bar is an area in central Dublin. The area is bounded by the river Liffey to the north, Dame Street to the south, Westmoreland Street to the east and Fishamble Street to the west.

HISTORY This place takes its name from the Temple family because they had got his house and gardens there in 17 th century.

HISTORY The republican revolutionary group, the Society of the United Irishman, was formed in a meeting in a tavern in Eustace Street in Many times, temple bar was in danger because loads of property developers wanted to destroy this area for building. P RESENT DAY Meetinghouse Square is used for outdoors film screenings in the summer months. Since summer 2004, Meetinghouse Square is also home to the Speaker's Square project and to the Temple Bar Food Market every Saturday.
