Do you know the coins most commonly seen? This is a cent sign. Cents are less than a dollar. We only use a cent sign when we are writing about money that is less than one dollar. Do you know the coins most commonly seen?

The value of a penny is 1 cent.

The value of a nickel is 5 cent.

The value of a dime is 10 cent.

The value of the a quarter is 25 cent.

Welcome to the 1st grade store. When you go to the store and you want to buy something. You know the price tag says 85 cent. But you don’t know if the coins in your pocket equal up. You could ask someone for help, but they might not be honest. It’s best to know how to count your own money. In our 1st grade store can buy several objects if you have the exact amount of change. Come in, see what we have and see if you have enough.
