The 7 Continents: A Love Story How 2 continents fell in love…and created a big, beautiful world. By: Carla Vigil

Standards: Core Content for Assessment SS-EP-4.1.2 Students will use geographic tools to identify major landforms (e.g., continents, mountain ranges), bodies of water (e.g., oceans, major rivers) and natural resources on Earth’s surface and use relative location. I CAN use geographic tools (maps, globes, mental maps) to identify major landforms (continents) on Earth’s surface.

Learning Objective At the end of this lesson, students will be able to use a map, globe, or a mental map to recall the 7 continents and at least one fact about each.
