Reading Stamina

Target: Build our reading stamina even when our brains are tired and the reading is hard!

Stamina is the ability to stay with something, even though it might be hard and even if your body and brain are getting tired.

Just like athletes have to practice their sport to get better, we have to do the same with reading in order to get better!

We will build our reading stamina by practicing daily, keeping track of the # of pages we have read, & self- reflecting.

Keep track of your Progress!

Reading to Self Expectations I will….My Teacher will…  Read the whole time  Stay in one spot  Read quietly  Work on Stamina  Get started right away Conference with my classmates during this time.

Time for Practice!
