Working Groups –The purpose of an ERCIM Working Group is to build and maintain a network of ERCIM researchers in a particular scientific field. The working groups are open to any researcher in the specific scientific field. Their main activities are the organization of workshops and the preparation of common project proposals. The working groups are also the focus of internal mobility within ERCIM. Fellowship Programme –The Fellowships are available for PhD holders from all over the world. Fellowships are generally of 24 months duration, spent in two of the ERCIM institutes. A fellowship of 12 months duration spent in one institute might be offered. EU Marie- Curie COFUND ERCIM News –Reports on joint actions of the ERCIM partners, and aims to reflect the contribution made by ERCIM to the EU in Information Technology. Through short articles and news items, it provides a forum for the exchange of information between the institutes and also with the wider scientific community.

Cor Baayen Award –The Cor Baayen Award is awarded each year to a promising young researcher in computer science and applied mathematics. The award was created in 1995 to honour the first ERCIM President. Projects –ERCIM is participating in several projects as co-ordinator or associated partner.
