 These Pillars make the religion strong  These pillars tells us how to become good Muslims

Shahdah – it means we believe in one Allah and that Muhammed (S) is His Prophet “Laa – Ilaaha – ilaal – laahu” - there is no deity but Allah “Muhaamadur – rasulullah” – Muhammed (S) is His prophet. We only follow the teachings of the Prophet This is called the Shahadah A deity is one whom we worship

 WE DO NOT WORSHIP MUHAMMED (S) WE ONLY WORSHIP ALLAH!!!

 Salah – where we pray our 5 daily prayers everyday  Fajr = before sunrisezuhr = afternoon Asr = Late AfternoonMaghrib = sunset Isha = Evening On Fridays we pray salatul Juma therefore we do not pray Salatul Zuhr. Muadhdhin – where you can give the Azaan

 Sawm – fasting in the month of Ramadan  We fast from dawn to sunset  Fasting brings us closer to Allah as we pray more and read more. We pray a special salaat called salatul Taraweeh  When you break your fast it is called Aftari  Everyone MUST fast at the age of 12 and onwards as it is a fardh

 Zakat – is where we give part of our money to the needy people  When we are older we MUST give Zakat  2.5%

 Q = Give Evidence that there is only one whom we worship and Explain.  A = we only pray one God, ALLAH. An evidence is from the first Kalima, “laa – ilaaha – ilaal – laahu” meaning there is no DEITY but Allah. We can see from this Kalima that we only worship ALLAH

 Shahdah – we believe in one Allah  Sawm – fasting during the month of Ramadhan  Salah – it means praying 5 daily prayers  Zakah – Giving charity  Hajj – going to Makkah in a special month  The pillars make the religion strong  These pillars tell us how to become good muslims  A Deity is one whom we worship  Salat = Fajr, Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha  We don’t pray salatul Zuhr on fridays we pray salatul Juma instead  Muadhdin is where you give the call for the prayer  Sawm is where you fast during the month of ramadhan  You must give 2.5% of zakat  All grown up muslims MUST give zakat
