Schedule: 1.The French Revolutions: A graphic novel. 2.Discussion Homework: 1.Consult Unit Schedule. 2. Reminder Final Paper Due Wed 10/17!.

Goals for the next Two Days Today we want to look at the nation- state building process in our second case-study: France Our goal will be two-fold: 1.To understand the “plot line” of the revolutions that led to the creation of a nation-state in France. 2.To analyze the significance of the meaning of these events.

Tasks to Achieve Our Goals Graphic Novel (Lesson 3) –To understand the “plot line” of the revolutions that led to the creation of a nation-state in France, you will work with a partner to write a graphic novel (cartoon strip, but not funny) of the various revolutions in France. –You want to capture main actors, events, causes, and effects. Whole Class Discussion (Lesson 4) –We will have a whole class discussion of the significance of the events.
