 German Workers’ Party or the Nazi Party was founded in 1919.

 Hitler attempted an armed overthrow of local authorities in Munich, Germany.  Hitler was jailed for treason.  He wrote Mein Kampf in jail.

 From 27,000 members in 1925 to 108,000 members in  Most of these members belonged to the SA the propaganda armed known for street brawling.

 German President Paul von Hindenburg appointed Hitler as the Chancellor in  The Nazis under Hitler started seizing power and eliminating political rivals.

 Hitler worried that the SA was gaining power.  In June 1934 Hitler, using his personal body guards the SS, and the Gestapo staged a coup against the SA leaders.  With the SA out of the way, Hitler turned his attention to the Jews.
