From 27,000 members in 1925 to 108,000 members in Most of these members belonged to the SA the propaganda armed known for street brawling.
German President Paul von Hindenburg appointed Hitler as the Chancellor in The Nazis under Hitler started seizing power and eliminating political rivals.
Hitler worried that the SA was gaining power. In June 1934 Hitler, using his personal body guards the SS, and the Gestapo staged a coup against the SA leaders. With the SA out of the way, Hitler turned his attention to the Jews.
