Pickleball

Objective To score points by hitting the ball across the net into the opponents half of the court without the other player/team being able to return it.

Basic Skills Serve Forehand Backhand Smash

Basic Rules Team 1 (singles) or 2 (doubles) players Winner-first team who scores 11 points (win by 2) Time-N/A Start Game- with a serve from the right baseline (alternate sides of the court after every serve is good) diagonally cross court over net into the service box

Basic Rules Server- 1 serve attempt (contact below waist in mid-air and clear non- volley zone) unless let serve Double Bounce Rule-both receiving and serving teams must let ball bounce once before returning it following the serve. Offense-place ball away from the defense. Defense-protect lines and net (rally and volley).

Basic Rules Foul- volleying in the non-volley zone Fault- not successfully returning the ball over the net Boundaries- stand anywhere between the sidelines. Ball hits the line is good.

Scoring Unreturned ball=1 point Only serving team can score
