What, When and Why – Part I SciMON: Science Mathematics Opportunities Network Website (Years 1-5) – provide students with easy access to science programs and resources; increase synergies; enhance sustainability ( General Application Matching Quiz Ask SciMON/SciMON Says Research Opportunities Database Professional Development (Years 1-5) – provide information and skills not provided by individual programs and other units; increase synergies; broaden participation Outreach (Years 1-5) – ensure that students have necessary information at critical educational junctures; broaden participation Database (Years 2-5) – track student progress and program outcomes

What, When and Why – Part II Centralized Undergraduate Research Initiative at Hunter Undergraduate Research Fellowships (Years 2-5) – support for undergraduate research outside the sciences; broaden participation ( Annual Undergraduate Research Conference (Years 3-5) – celebrate student-faculty research collaborations; provide undergraduates with practice presenting their research and networking opportunities ( ) New Website (Years 4-5) - one-stop-shop for information about undergraduate research at Hunter and beyond ( Expanded Database (Years 4-5) – include undergraduates conducting research outside the sciences; expand efforts to track students once they leave Hunter
