Federal Cost Share Program o 80 % Federal/20% State or Local o PennDOT funds only the construction phase Available Funding and Authority o At least $9 million available statewide o Up to $16 million in Large MPO areas

Safety Project addresses documented bicycle or pedestrian safety need Incorporates appropriate countermeasures Project Delivery Sponsors should demonstrate ability to delivery project in two years. Consultant/Sponsor knows PennDOT process No major ROW, Utility, Environmental, or Public support issues

Strongly encourage sponsors to engage with their MPO/RPOs and Districts to review of potential applications. Will help sponsors with o Eligibility o Scope o Deliverability o Budget

Project Budget o $50,000 project minimum for construction projects o $1,000,000 project maximum Project Scope o Clearly define project limits o Identify any ROW, Environmental, Utility considerations o Fit the project into its surrounds (context) and applicable planning documents
