 States six goals  1-To form a more perfect Union  2-To establish Justice  3-To insure domestic Tranquility  4-To provide for the common defense  5-To promote the general Welfare  6-To secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity

 Legislative Branch-2 Houses  House of Representatives & Senate  Law making branch  Describes how members of each House will be chosen  Lengths of service  Leaders of both Houses  Rules they will follow when making a law  Specific powers that each House has

 Leaders:  Speaker of the House & Vice President  Lengths of Service:  2 & 6 Years  Official Removal:  Impeachment/House  Removal/Senate

 Habeas Corpus cannot be taken away unless in times of war, rebellion, or public safety  All Bills for raising revenue ($) must start in the House  Enumerated Powers  Declare war  Coin money  Approve treaties  Amend the Constitution  Tax  Regulate commerce  Confirm presidential appointments  Necessary and Proper Clause

 Relations between states  ‘Full Faith and Credit’ given to acts, records, and judicial proceedings of every other state  Extradition of criminals from one state to another  Process of admitting new states  Guaranteed Republican form of government in each state  Protection from invasion and also against domestic violence
