∗ Requirements are 1 hour each week ∗ What is supervision and why is it so important? ∗ What does successful supervision look like to you? ∗ What are your expectations for supervision? ∗ Some things to think about: ∗ Does the student need to have an agenda? ∗ Does the student need to fill a supervision form to document? Supervision
∗ What is the purpose of the Learning Contract? ∗ What is the field instructor’s role in helping the student design the learning contact? ∗ How does the field instructor use the learning contract as a tool of evaluation? ∗ Student and Field Instructor both rate the student on their progress in meeting the learning tasks Learning Contract
∗ Students are evaluated mid-semester and at the end of the semester ∗ Mid-semester Evaluation: students and faculty will receive a mid- semester evaluation form that they fill out together and submit back to the faculty liaison ∗ ∗ End of semester Evaluation: the faculty liaison will do a site visit towards the end of the semester ∗ The LC is used to evaluate students’ progress in field ∗ Site visits: April ∗ Need to be completed before grades are due ∗ Last day of classes is April 27 th ∗ How is the final grade assigned?
