 Germany is a country in West-Central Europe. Germany has a long history from the holy Roman Empire to the Unification, the First World War and Second World War. Despite Germanys bad history it is now the richest country in Europe. Some of its famous companies are VW, Mercedes, Audi, BMW and Porsche.

1 ST WORLD WAR2 ND WORLD WAR  The 1 st World War started when Franz Ferdinand of Austria was assassinated by a Serb. So Austria declared war on Serbia. Germany helped Austria so France helped Serbia so England helped France. All in all 9,911,000 people died in World War 1 and 7,750,000 were missing. Germany and Austria- Hungary were made smaller countries due to losing to the Allies.  The Second World War started when Nazi Germany invaded Poland and Austria so France declared war on Germany and England helped them. America joined the war in 1941.All together over 60 million died in World War 2. Adolf Hitler committed suicide but poisoned his wife and dog so the allies didn’t capture them alive.

 Carl Benz made the first car and named it Mercedes-Benz after his daughter Mercedes. Many other German people started up car companies like Porsche, Audi and BMW. German cars are said to be the most reliable in the world. Most people don’t know VW own Audi, and BMW own Mini, Rolls Royce and Bentley. Porsche makes some of the best sports cars in the world and some of the most expensive.

 Germany has many good soccer teams like Bayern Munich and Brussels Dortmund. It has a great international team with players like Gotze, Schweinsteiger, Neuer, Lahm, Ozil, Hummeles, Khedira, Gomez, Muller, Reus, Badstuber, Gundogan, Kroos and Podolski. Germany have won the world cup 3 times and the European Championships 3 times.
