Imperialism - The act of taking over other countries to gain power and natural resources
Neutral - not picking a side and staying out of war
opportunity cost - The costs that go along with a decision.

3. Global Depression
The U.S. was not the only place where there was high unemployment!
European and Asian countries were going through really bad times too!

4. Germany and the Depression
Germany was even more depressed than the United States because they had to pay for all of the damages of World War I.
Germany had to pay ALL THE ALLIED POWER COUNTRIES: U.S., FRANCE, GREAT BRITAIN, and RUSSIA.
many Germans were unemployed.
Germany was still rebuilding from the war!
