Panama Canal Panama canal is a 82 Km long ship canal that all the way across and connected the Pacific ocean to the Atlantic ocean. The canal cuts across the Isthmus of Panama and also is a key conduit for international maritime trade. It is very important for trade and transportation. Make people carry things out of the country much faster and more convenient. It has a very huge lock gate to determine maximum size of the ship that can pass across the lock gate. Some country made some ships that are too big for the Panama canal so they can’t pass through the gate. for example, a Japanese ship carried about 150 thousand tons of cargo, it’s too many for the canal so the ship can’t pass the gate.
