 Nutrition is determining factor in the total help of the individual  Good nutrition and its maintenance is basic to health  Food is presented to a person the immediate concern is focused on how the food appeals to the palate rather than on the nutritional content.

 “ body is the product of nutrition”  Drive for food and the way we satisfy it is very important.  It is essential that man should understand that the nutrients in food must utilized, to be able to get maximum nutritional benefits  The practice of nutrition attempts to lead the world population to be a better and more sound nutritional well-being, relatively free of diseases and sound mental and physical growth

 Nutrition education is a sensible approach to teach broader and deeper concepts of the science of nutrition.

 Good body posture  Clear complexion  Bright eyes  Shiny hair  Well developed teeth and healthy gums  Good appetite  Good digestion and elimination  Balanced growth  Appropriate weight and height  Resistance to infection

 Eat the right kind and the right amount of food  Pack a home- prepared school lunch  Eat nutritious snacks  Avoid eating spicy foods  Have plenty of rest and outdoor exercise  Eat your meals on time and with the company of your family
