Competitive Strategy: Segment-Focused Differentiation  Lasercade will feature a wide variety of activities suitable for children of all ages. These activities will include Laser Tag, a ball pit, a bouncy house, and a playhouse featuring multiple windows, tunnels and slides. This playhouse will be large enough to fit an adult for cleaning purposes. Also featured are a modern-day arcade with various new videogame consoles and multiple age-appropriate videogames, multiple other games such as skee-ball and air hockey and several televisions tuned to various cartoon channels.  Lasercade will also house a restaurant that specializes in “party foods” such as pizza. For occasions such as birthday parties, special orders may be placed for custom-made cakes and reservations made to reduce crowding.

Target Market  The target market for Lasercade will be children of all ages.  Television advertisements will air most frequently on channels aimed at children such as Cartoon Network. Fewer advertisements will run on “other” channels to reach and inform parents.  Online advertising and customer interaction through social media, such as a page on Facebook and Twitter.  Other online advertisements on various game websites and other websites frequented by target audience.

Benefits Offered  Lasercade will offer the ultimate entertainment experience for children of all ages, as well as accommodating special occasions such as birthday parties.  Staff at Lasercade, not simply cashiers, watch for issues with the various activities and ensure the children are kept safe so that the parents can relax.  Through third-party phone applications and loyalty cards, special deals and discounts can be acquired through loyalty points.
