Module 5: Beyond the Basics with Expression Web LESSON 1 WYSIWYG vs. Coding  What-you-see-is-what-you-get  WYSIWYG is a technique that allows a designer to select page design elements from a menu and drag them onto the work surface. This is possible in the Design View within Expression Web.  Coding is the process of writing HTML code which, when read by a browser, creates the Web page seen on the monitor. Designers work with the code of a Web page in the Code View of Expression Web.  Expression Web allows a designer to work on a Web page in either the Design View or the Code View. These views, as well as a Split View showing both, are accessed through the View Tabs at the bottom of the work area.

Module 5: Beyond the Basics with Expression Web LESSON 1 Assignment  Complete the “Scavenger Hunt” worksheet.  Parts of this worksheet require you to find information about the Expression Web Demo Page.  Other parts of this worksheet require you to make changes to the Expression Web Demo Page.  Be sure you save the changes you make to the Expression Web Demo Page and submit them as directed by your teacher.
