Background  Recent growth of events and fundraising activities require strategic coordination  Opportunity to organize and prioritize Board Development efforts  Caveat: Committee needs to be additive, not duplicative or creating extra work

Purpose  Foster and facilitate Board fundraising activities  Coordinate Board Development efforts-- “asks” and donor relationships  Augment/relieve staff development responsibilities  Support anticipated Growth Campaign

Composition Chairs of major event and fund raising committees  Paving the Way  Major Donor  CFO of the Year  Corporate Committee  Marketing Committee  Corporate Leadership Breakfast (at this time part of Corporate Committee)  Golf Tournament  Friends of Larkin Street  Growth Campaign (TBD)

Functional Overview  Prioritize and allocate resources.  Facilitate Board donor cultivation.  Place for Committee chairs to share and coordinate goals.  Committee chairs identify areas where they need help, and/or where there is overlap.  Vehicle for committee chairs to become more aware of the various Development strategies.
