The Great Depression The Stock market crash precipitated the Great Depression, the worst economic downturn in the history of the United States. Germany invades Poland!!!!! In 1939, Nazi Germany invades Poland (“Nazi” was the name of the political party in German at that time) Britain and France declare war on Germany WWII Begins!

Who started this anyway? The German Dictator, Adolph Hitler. A dictator is an all-powerful ruler. He wanted to rule the world.

Hatred for Jewish People Adolph Hitler hated Jews. He planned to kill them by taking them to death camps, called, “concentration camps”. Today, the world knows this as “The Holocaust” /historic-nazi-concentration-camp-films/# /historic-nazi-concentration-camp-films/#
