Presentation transcript:

Everybody gets hungry right? But sometimes what we crave for or eat may not be the healthiest choice. The choice of food we choose to eat can really effect our body. In fact it can even paralyze you when not consuming enough nutrition, fiber, and protein it can cause your immune system to get very weak which makes it easy for you to get sick.

These are the types of food that we should consume the most of at the top. The foods down here are the foods we should consume the least of because they are greasy and grease weakens the heart.  Foods such as:  Fruits  Vegetables  Burgers  Chips  Pizza  And etc.

 Now, foods like apples, bananas, and cucumbers, green beans, peas, and grains such as wheat bread and rice are very healthy choices. They give you protein, and fiber, but of course people don’t eat this, because not all healthy foods taste as delicious as a hamburger, but it will help you, keep your body in shape and also keep you energized.

 Fact show that over 25% of Americans consume fast food everyday  “The 2005 Adult Dietary Guidelines for fact consumption is approximately 25 to 35 percent of our daily calorie intake”.  We should only consume 7 to 10 percent of that 25 to 35 percent

 Here on the graph notice that the most ordered food is hamburgers, and fries which are the Unhealthy foods. The healthy foods are ordered the least.  The graph on the next slide also separates the men and the women rate and the men consume the most Unhealthy foods.

 Kids get at least a quarter of their daily calories(27 percent) from junk food  Junk food is locking kids into bad eating habits which is causing them to become obese  Researchers show that 59 or more percent of kids who are obese or overweight miss more than 2 weeks of school than kids who are not overweight and 32 percent are likely to repeat a grade.

Grades 8 th -12th Healthy Food  This graph shows the amount of kids who are either overweight or obese from the grades of 8 th to 12 th.  This picture shows a kids a kid that doesn’t want to eat healthy food

 Overall Americans consume way to much unhealthy foods, than what they are suppose to which is the reason why we are suffering from diabetes and obesity. We need to try to eat more vegetables and fruits to keep us healthy. So we won’t become obese and get diabetes
