Scientific Inquiry 08/27/12 Learning Goal: We will be able to identify and classify observations as qualitative/quantitative data.

Today’s Lesson Mini-lesson Write down your observations of what you noticed as you entered school today.

Qualitative or Quantitative Data 1.Discuss among your table partners what you noticed with your observations. 2.Compare observations. 3.Classify your observations as either qualitative or quantitative data. 4.Analyze how you know which observation is that particular type of data.
