2 Don’t forget to turn in your homework!
Do Now: Answer the following questions in your Science Notebook with complete sentences. Can I draw conclusions before I analyze results? It’s possible, but your conclusions could be faulty. What are examples of how data can be analyzed (this is after you organize your data and make graphs/charts)? Compare and contrast, observing patterns, determining relationships. Don’t forget to turn in your homework!

3 HW Review: Trade & Grade
Use only a red pen to mark the assignment. At the top of the page, write “Graded by (your name)” When an answer is incorrect, write in the correct answer with your red pen. After grading, count how many correct blanks there were and put that on the top of the front page. For example, if 10 questions were correct, put “+10” at the top of the front page. Return any borrowed red pens back to Mr. Santos

4 Small Group Activity Each group will design an experiment using scientific inquiry. Each group will choose a topic by selecting a piece of paper at random from the container. Each group should write several questions about the topic and decide on one question to use for designing an experiment. You will not be conducting the experiment, so you are not limited by time, materials, or equipment. Each group will share its experiment and explain how scientific inquiry was used in the experiment's design.

5 Exit Ticket: Which group's experiment was most able to test their hypothesis? Why?
