By Melody Carlson

What are these books about?  The Color Me Series are Christian books that deal with what everyday teenagers are going through. One book is about a girl who’s best friend commits suicide ( Pitch Black ). Another book, Blade Silver, talks about a girl who is so depressed she cuts herself. Other books deal with popularity and underage drinking. There is a book for almost every situation.

Why should you read these books?  “There is a book for every situation. No matter what you are struggling with, there is a book about it. These books helped me through a lot and I really identified with the characters. I loved them!” –Melanie Allen  “Melody Carlson has created an emotional touchstone resource for female teen readers in her series titled ‘Color Me’. A prolific author of over seventy books, and mom to two grown sons, Carlson has taken a reminiscent look back at her own teen years to write these stories. The result its terrific, and young adults will find Carlson’s fiction closer to true life that they might anticipate.” - REVIEWED BY MICHELE HOWE ON OCTOBER 18, 2011 MICHELE HOWE
