Table of Contents introduction Pacific Coastal Region Mountain Region Central Valley Region Desert Region About The Author

California is a large state with many different areas California is a large state with many different areas. Each has a unique Land Forms and Climate. These areas also have very natural resources, industries, and populations. These areas are called regions. California has four main regions, the Pacific Coastal Region, the Mountain Region, the Central Valley Region, and the Desert Region.

Pacific Coastal Region There are many reasons why the California coastal Region is the most ideal place to live and visit . The Pacific Coastal Region is located on the Western Edge of California and it is 840 miles long . The Northern part of the Coast has beautiful Sandy Beaches . Fishing , oil shipping , and tourism are are some of the maim industries in the area . As you can see there is many fun and cool stuff to do in the pacific Coastal Region .

Mountain Region The Mountain Region is cold In the winter, and hot in the summer. It is mostly located in North-Eastern part of California. Did you know it is the coldest and wettest region because of its high elevation? Something that I think is so amazing is that the Mountain Region has almost the tallest mountain. It is called Mt.Whitney. It is 14,494 ft. high. Did you know the forest and minerals are natural resources? The Mountain Region is a fasinating place.

Central Valley Region Did you know the Central Valley Region is located in the center of California. It also is 450 miles long 50 miles wide. Another fact is, that it is surrounded by the Coast Ranges and the Sierra Nevada Ranges. Also its farms provide most of the fruits and vegtabls around it. One final fact about the Central Valley Region is its major cities are Sacramento, Frenso, and Bakers field. It also has many farms and rarul areas. This is why the Central Valley Region is cool.

Desert Region Did you know the Desert Region is located in the the Southern-Eastern part of California. One cool fact is that it receives 5 inches of rain per year. Minerals are more important recources found in the Desert. Death Valley has the lowest elevation in the country, 282 ft. below sea level. Also it is made up of 3 deserts, Colorado Desert, Mojave Desert, and the Great Basin Desert. As you can see the Desert Region is cool.
