Preferred Alternative  Sidewalk from Village to Airport Road (left side of highway). Sidewalk to be placed on both sides in the village up to McDonald’s  Replace Chenango Feeder Canal Culvert (snowmobiles will be able to ride over the culvert and keep them off the highway)  4’ shoulders will be a non-standard feature, to minimize impacts and act as traffic calming feature. Context Sensitive Elements St. Joseph’s Cemetery Concern: Fence located on State R.O.W. Action: Relocate fence to the Highway Boundary

Context Sensitive Elements Historic House (Airport Rd. Intersection) Concern: Impacts to trees and existing fence. Action: No impacts to fence or mature trees. Some smaller trees may need to be removed.

Context Sensitive Elements Historic Culvert (Chenango Feeder Canal) Concern: Historic Canal Culvert & Snowmobile trail Action: State Historic Preservation Office is reviewing proposed box culvert with form liners which will give stone appearance when finished. Longer culvert to maintain traffic during construction which will be left in place for snowmobile trail.

Context Sensitive Elements Concern: Burr Oak Tree Action: Preserve tree with minor highway alignment shift to the east (6 ft.)
