Exploring Weather Patterns

Collect and analyze data all year long. Use graphs and charts to collect data. Observe changes in weather patterns over the course of the year. Collect your weather data at about the same time every day.

The Wind What is wind? What is air? How can the wind be a good thing? What kinds of things can the wind move? What would happen if there was no wind?

Severe Weather Visit Find the information on the type of severe weather you were assigned. Create a poster with the following: A description of the type of severe weather (in your own words) Drawings to represent this type of severe weather Safety precautions necessary for this type of weather Your group will present the information you found to the class.

Thank you for visiting the Ruth Patrick Science Education Center!
