The largest cemetery in Spain is La Almudea. There are estimated five million graves here. The largest cemetery in Mexico is Panteon el Delores. There are about 700,000 graves here. (below)

On November 1 st, there is an event called All Souls Day. On this day, the families of the dead go to Roman Catholic churches and pray for there dead brothers and sisters. Rituals include visiting family graves remember deceased relatives. They also like to decorate and clean the graves with flowers and cleaning brushes. Markets will sell skeletons and skeleton dolls.

The main mascot for the Day of the Dead is a female skeleton. Leftover food is left on the graves of loved ones. Special loaves of bread are also placed of the graves. Some people like to make sugar skulls in honor of the holiday.
