2.  A Mexican holiday that is celebrated in Mexico and around the world in other cultures.  The holiday focuses on gatherings of families and friends where they remember and pray for their friends and family who have died.

3.  Day of the Dead takes place from October 31, November 1, and November 2.

4.  On Day of the Dead, you build private altars and fill them with gifts.  The alters are filled with favorite objects of the person who died.  The gifts are to encourage visits by the souls, so that the souls hear the prayers of the people who prayed for them.

5.  This is All Hallows Eve  All Hallows Eve is when children make children’s altars to invite the angelitos (spirits of dead children) to come back to visit.

6.  This is All Saints Day and All Souls Day  All Saints day is when all of the adult spirits come to visit.  All Souls Day is when families go to the cemetery and decorate the graves of their relatives.
