 Working on leads and headlines can make or break a story.  Working on these skills was never emphasized in other classes.

 It is extremely important for a copy editor to take this seriously.  Most of the blame would be put on the copy editor if facts are inaccurate, which would be disastrous.

 The importance of knowing about news values could help me move up the career ladder.  Make better articles, better ideas, more money. Google.com

 News world today is often divided.  People no longer trust the media.  We have to realize how different news outlets slant their criteria depending upon their audience. Google.com

 It is important to know AP style when going into the journalism field.  Even if I do not use this particular style when I have a career, it is experience in learning how to follow a certain style. Google.com

 Copy editing is a useful tool for everyone to have, regardless of which field they enter.  Knowing how the media runs is an essential in being a well-educated individual.
