Example of paragraph about artist and artwork for art show Shaun Tan By Mrs Wheelton Shaun Tan is an Australian artist and author who draws imaginative pictures mostly using grey lead and oil paints. He studied Fine Arts in Western Australia and has had many picture story books published such as The Red Tree and The Rabbits. Shaun creates semi-abstract artwork based on familiar things around him. In the Red Tree Shaun Tan draws a red headed girl who is not named and seems to go through many dark, sad moments. The picture I have chosen is the one of the girl when she sees light at the end of the tunnel as the red tree blooms and she begins to feel like there is happiness in her life.
