Economic Reasons (GOLD) Explorers sought (looked for): – Gold – Natural Resources Fish Animal Pelts – Beaver – Bear – Deer – Etc. Forests Raw Goods that could be finished in the home country and then sold abroad for huge profits= Mercantilism
