Location Located in the Castelli di Jesi Classico Area. Located 50 kilometres southwest of Italy’s Adriatic naval capital, Ancona. Today the estate has increased to include 700 acres under vine and is divided into 12 different single vineyards.

History Founded in 1949 by multi-faceted entrepreneur Francesco Angelini. He planted the first Verdicchio estate vineyards and brought Fazi Battaglia to become the leading winery of the region. Since 1990 the estate has been managed by the 4 th generation of the Sparaco and Giannotti families. Their passion and focus has always been their native Verdicchio.

History Products include a range of Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico, Superiore and Riserva and an assortment of Rosso Conero and Sangiovese. Its most popular product is the Titulus, the Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico made in 1953 – The company wanted to personalize its extraordinary production – Had a national competition, to create a new bottle inspired by the ancient Etruscan amphora. – The winner, Antonio Maiocchi, created the acclaimed Fazi Battaglia emerald green “amphora”, recognized throughout the world as the icon of Verdicchio

Philosophy Committed to the native Verdicchio varietal. Fazi Battaglia literally created the Verdicchio category in Italy and abroad in the ‘60’s and ‘70’s. Famous for their creative design and refined style.

Winemaker Dino Porfiri Graduate of the Agricultural Technical Institute of Ascoli Piceno Worked as enologist since 1974 Has become a key figure in developing the Verdicchio varietal and creating diverse styles that this versatile varietal can embody Earned Titulus the deserving pillar title of Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi. An enology professor President of the Wine Tasting Commission of the Ancona Chamber of Commerce Vice President of the Italian Enologist and Enotechnician Association President of the Prestigious Wines of Le Marche Association

Verdicchio di Castelli di Jesi DOC Verdicchio is related to Greco from Campania and the Trebbiano of Veneto and Lombardia Verdicchio is a vigorous producing vine, and ripens late One of Italy’s “also ran” grape varieties for decades, through the mass marketing of the “Fish Bottle” Recent push for quality has led to reduction of yields and more complexity in the wines – Fazi Battaglia has been a leader in this area as well The influence of the coast is strong – only 20km inland to the town of Jesi Long growing season with relatively dry conditions, allowing for the production of more complex flavor Characteristics of the variety: piney aromas, tart fruit notes of green apple and pear, and a slight almond finish

Key Selling Points 1.THE benchmark and most historical Verdicchio producer 2.Created the Verdicchio category and the infamous Amphora shaped bottle 3.Known for a clean, focused, authentic, refined, classic style 4.Diverse and versatile, excellent alternative white

Building The Brand 1.Focus on the quality and historic significance of this brand 2.Regain the loyalty of customers that have lost touch with the brand 3.Leverage the alternative white wine category

Passo del Lupo Rosso Conero Riserva DOCG 85% Montepulciano and 15% Sangiovese Named for the road that brings travelers from one side of Monte Conero to the other, the Passo del Lupo or “wolf’s passage.” Notes of wild berries integrated with elegant nuances of toast, oak and spice. Both rich and complex on the palate, with firm tannins and a long finish. Well suited to pasta with wild boar ragu, roasted red meats with grilled savory vegetables and medium aged cheeses.

Rosso Conero DOC 85% Montepulciano and 15% Sangiovese Conero was so called by the Greeks as a reference to the trailing strawberry plants (komaros) that cover the hills. Aromas of crushed red berries and wildflowers are framed on the nose by a hint of hazelnut. The red berries continue through to the palate, which is vibrant and well rounded with good concentration. Ideal with hearty minestrone, roasted pork, or pecorino cheeses.

San Sisto Verdicchio dei Castelli dei Jesi Classico Riserva DOCG 100% Verdicchio Aromas of tropical fruits and honey, nicely framed by vanilla and hazelnut. On the palate the wine is vibrant with a persistent acidity but also shows elegance and roundness from its time spent in French oak. Pairs well with seafood dishes in cream sauce or fish entrees cooked “al forno,” spaghetti carbonara, hearty frittatas, and almond-crusted chicken.

Titulus Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico DOC 100% Verdicchio Titulus very simply means “title” in Latin Intense bouquet of peaches and apples with a hint of roses. On the palate the wine is clean, with refreshing acidity and a hint of bitter almond in the finish. Serve with shellfish dishes, sushi or spicy lime-marinated chicken.
