Lupe Alarcon Period 3

 My section is about the prevention of suicide, and how to help yourself and others considering suicide.  And what places to go for suicide and depressed people.

 The most important concept is how to help yourself with depression or suicide thoughts.

 Some things to do to prevent suicide is to talk about your feelings to a trusted adult or a professional counselor.  Another thing is to try crisis centers and suicidal- prevention hotlines for they provide support for suicidal and depressed people.  An example is, if they are depressed or have suicidal thoughts then they should to talk to their trusted friends, parents, or a professional counselor.  It relates to the class because you can help yourself or friends thinking about suicide or are just depressed.

 There once was a king who had everything, but though he had everything he wanted more. Then getting what he wanted his servants quit. After noticing everyone had left him, he was depressed. After that he had lost everything. The king wanted to commit suicide, but his father had found out and wouldn't let him. Then decided to help him overcome depression so that he wouldn’t commit suicide. After a few months he recovered and began a new life. He then started putting up crisis centers and suicidal- prevention hotlines so people wouldn’t experience the same as he did.

 My opinion towards this topic is to have someone help you before you do something that won’t be reversible.  The most important thing is that there is plenty of ways to get help for yourself and/or others.

 My section was about helping yourself and where to and who to get help with depression and suicidal thoughts.  And that suicide isn’t the solution to everything.
